📅 October 18, 2024 | 📍 Saratoga Springs, NY

On October 18th, we joined social work educators, practitioners, and students from across the state at the New York State Social Work Education Association (NYSWEA) Annual Conference in Saratoga Springs. As part of the conference programming, we presented on themes from “Transforming Careers in Mental Health for BIPOC: Strategies to Promote Healing and Social Change“, with a focus on the evolving identities of social workers navigating racial, ethnic, and professional complexities in practice and academia. The session included a book talk and interactive dialogue, drawing reflections from both emerging and seasoned social work professionals.

This event was part of an ongoing series of engagements that bring the book into conversation with educators, clinicians, and community organizations, emphasizing the importance of critical self-inquiry and collective growth within the field of social work.
